I'll admit, it looks like it sticks out incredibly far. However after a few months of use, I've never bumped it, hit it, or otherwise noticed it was there.

That all said...I like the cable idea, I didn't even know this was a thing!

Me too. I was concerned when i installed it, but i've never touched it, except when i go to open the hood.

I have an ODBII extension cable for my ODBII bluetooth device that I use with the Torque App on my smartphone. I then tuck the ODBII device up under the lower dash. The 90 degree connector is very slim and doesn't protrude out much at all.

On the Grand Cherokee it lies almost flat...you really have to strain to see it.

I definitely sticks out more on the Cherokee, but so far no one has returned one or even complained because of it. I also use black labels on the Cherokee version to make it a bit more discreet. IMO, the photos above of the prototype (with the white labels) tend to focus on it and accentuate it a bit.
