rear end damage

Hows it going everyone I just want to say these cherokees can take a hit and people walk out with no harm to them. My wife was involved in a accident a few days ago and walked away with no injuries other then sore and bump on the head from hitting the steering wheel. Here are some photos from the accident. it was a 3 car accident she was the one in the very front. I am glad she is fine the jeep can be replaced here are some photos of the jeep.

Holy cow! Glad she is OK!

That KL took a nice hit to the rear and look at the reveals on both back doors....still close to perfect. The rear took the hit and the cabin was protected. GO JEEP!

Yeah it took the hit great the floor is buckled from where the spare tire got crushed and my mother in law said theres a spot in the roof where it looks buckled. All and all i figured the damage was going to be worse then what it was.

Wow, glad your wife is Ok...

... and welcome to the forum !

I know nothing about how airbags work, but I guess the front bags didn't deploy here ? Too bad she had to hit the steering wheel...

What type of vehicule hit the Jeep ? That looks like something big and high did the damage, not a small car...

The air bags didn't go off. She got hit by a infinity qx60 but they got hit from the front and rear. The third was a truck a chevy 1500 and the trooper told me he had to of been going 55-60 when he hit the infinity. There was a major accident with a 18 wheeler and challenger in front of them which is why traffic was stopping on the free way.

The fire department disabled the car due to the hit in the rear and fuel tank punctured.

The QX60 is a big muther. And ugly (sorry...). That was some impact if the Chevy 1500 was going 55-60... The Infiniti took a lot of energy out of it for your wife, but there was plenty left... I don't suppose you have a pic of that Infiniti ? It must look like a box right now... (more than usual...)

I don't have a photo of the infinity due to they were hauling it off by the time i showed up because it was in the middle of the road. My wife moved hers a little bit before it stopped it was grinding then stop moving. But the front end was crushed and the rear as well she is actually a school teacher at the same school district as my wife. They kept her at the hospital over night to make sure she was fine.

the speed limit on the hwy they were on is 75 so the trooper is hoping he was slowing down and didn't hit them at full speed. but from the look of the infinity it looked like it went under the jeep.
