Does the camera stay on when you turn on the light bar? The one I have has a volt sensing circuit and it turns off when the light bar comes on. It is wired to the fuse in the cabin (behind the little compartment on the left side).

Yes it stays on since I don't have it hooked up to a volt sensing circuit. I use the always on power outlet in console. I drive it daily so I'm not worried about it draining battery.

I've been pondering on getting a dashcam for awhile now, and since I use my own personal vehicle for work purposes, I feel it becomes something I should seriously consider. I would also consider a dual cam setup for the front and rear. My biggest thing was not trying to break the bank, but you could also look at this as an investment and/or just part of my fuel expenses.

I know you were loaned this for reviewing purposes, but would you say this is a good dashcam, or are their others you might think are better worth your money?

Unfortunately, I don't have experience with other dashcams to compare. I will say there are many cheaper if you go with 1 camera instead of 2. Also 1 thing I didn't realize until after I made the video, there is no way to lock in a recording on card. So if there is a recording you don't want overwritten you have to download off camera or card within 5 hrs or so. I may try to review another brand for my other vehicle so stay tuned!

Me too. Some members use two cameras; one for front and another for rear. That's the way I'm leaning. There are many to choose from and Amazon reviews help some to whittle out the chaff and get people's opinions on options and features that are worth having. Hey, if a $99 dash cam has 3,500 reviews and is still hanging at 4 1/2 stars, it can't be too bad. Some cameras are in the $30 range. Maybe a good one in the front and a cheaper one in the rear. There are dash cam reviews on the internet that help explain features available and how they work.
