Passed 40,000 miles on the Odometer

My wife took the KL to visit our son out of town. She passed the milestone of 40k miles. I wasn't in the vehicle for the occasion. I took this pic when she got back home.

For all of those 40,000 we have had no issues. I have performed all of the recall notices; that has not really effected the Cherokee's performance. The only real issue we've had, and its very minor, is the front fender wheel fascia started coming "unglued" from both front metal fenders. The dealer reattached both for free.

I have the MFC lift, which has worked great over many BOH trails. I also got RRO rock rails early on. They have paid for themselves. This KL has been great off-roading!!!

I have no complaints with this vehicle. Ok, I do have one simple complaint. I sure wish the Badge of Honor program had a little more immediate gratification with the speed of their delivery. Other than that little thing, the KL has truly been a pleasure....

My wife's TH is at 48k and she parked it to keep it from hitting 50k. She's considering trading it for a sports car and has been test driving them; Subaru WRX STI, Challenger 392 and she wants to test drive the Chevrolet SS. Of course she's been driving our Expedition EL and now she says maybe she wants her own truck.
I don't know. I'm just along for the ride at this point.

I just passed 35k this weekend and with my Moab trip coming up decided it was best to just go ahead and get the extended warranty from Zeiglers. Better safe than 600 miles from home when the warranty runs out along with who knows what else. Picked up the max care but only got the 8 year 100k miles. Figure I'll be ready to trade it in in about 5 years for a new one.
