2015 Trail Hawk, 45,000 miles now.
Question,
Does any one else get a grinding squeaking noise coming from under your Trail Hawk while driving when it is 70 degrees or warmer out ? Doesn't do it when it's cold out. Has been going on now since turning about 25,000 miles.
It is the most annoying thing ever !
People look...it's embarrassing.
Have had it into the dealership several times, and they can't find it ! Though they have tried hard and I have good confidence in my dealership. Its a mind boggler...
H E L P !
Thanks...
PS. Already have had the trans, diff and rear end changed out...both front wheel Barings,
Just put new tires on...
YES, bought life time warranty...
I hope that there is someone else out there who has had and solved this problem...

Use you phone and record it. It's what I do if I ever have weird noises in vehicles just in case a vehicle refuses to cooperate at a dealership. Never had this or any trouble with the Jeeps but had an odd noise once in my Regal. Turned out that traction control was kicking out randomly and the recording helped. Sounded like hitting the vibration bumps on some highways. The dealers service people instantly knew it just playing the recording.

Best of luck. It doesn't sound good though. Metal on metal... yikes.

Why would the guy not use painters tape. While I wouldn't want to put duct tape on my paint, the device sounds reasonable if you really want to be the DIY type in the neighborhood/family.

I didn't check the price, but they guy seems a bit of a nutter, but I can't fault his logic, other than the duct tape.

Occasionally when I go over bumps I hear some grinding for a few seconds that goes away, but it doesn't happen on every bump and the noise is low enough that my passenger doesn't notice but I notice it. If it's just a loose exhaust then I would feel a lot better that it's just a mount that's loose and not something to do with the transmission. I haven't heard it for a while now.

I have the same problem
Only when warmer
Had it to dealership a few times with no solution either.
Last time at the dealership that I took it too, the hey heard the noise also, and after checking things out,
They said was not a warranty issue and that I need to resurface rotors.
They still charged me 300
Had them resurfaced.
After driving in hot weather, the noise is still there

My 2017 Trailhawk does this too. The sound is like a combination of brake wear whisker and dry needle bearing sound but only when the vehicle is hot. It doesn't make this sound when cold and even when the temperature is hot but only after the climb up the mountain after work on a hot day which really has all the mechanical components hot from the trip up the hill.

I mentioned this to my dealer when working with a leaking PTU issue and they resurfaced the front rotors and replaced the rear rotors and called it good and so did I because I hadn't heard it either until the hot weather these past few days and it is back making noise when I get to the top of the hill on the way home.

I will try and record it today and see if I can get it posted up for ya'll to listen to but in the mean time, I've sent a request over to the dealer asking if there are any TSB's out for a noisy transmission when the vehicle is hot. And speaking of transmission temps, what does everyone see for tranny temps after climbing a hill in mid 90 degree weather? I have a 3000' climb every day with moderate speeds of 40-45 mph because of the twisty nature of the road and when I get to the top, the grindy sound is back.
