Hey all. I was just wondering how to find out if my jeep has active drive 1. Its a 2015 lattitude 4x4 with the 2.4 tigershark engine. Ive looked around and havent gotten anywhere. Sorry if its a "stupid" question.

do you have a dial are you 4x4??.

If you have 4x4, then you have AD1. On the dial for the active drive control, there would also be 4 additional button in the middle with 4low and other options if you had AD11. AD11 also gives the vehicle an additional inch lift.

Another case for having different levels, albeit very small, is towing the KL behind a motorhome. Neutral Mode in the AD2 enables that case without having the hooks (which have to be removed in front to mount base plates), more aggressive tires, and the added costs associated with the locker and undercarriage plates.

Some have complained that the FWD V6 setups spin the front tires too easily. AD1 reduces that.

Wow-your response just made me realize that my 2017 Latitude wth AD1 (2.4 Tigershark) never spins the fronts tires--something my 2015 Sport 2wd (2.4 Tigershark) did constantly, even on dry pavement.

As @Array said, AD2 allows the Cherokee to be flat towed because of Neutral.

One more thing that could lure some to AD2 : heavy towing. Towing capacity is the same as any other V6 Cherokee with factory Tow group, but 4Low gives you that needed power to extract a boat from the water on rough/slopy/slippery terrain, or to manoever a heavy trailer at the camp ground, etc...
And the extra inch ground clearence could be useful to some, though no skid plates so careful with rocks and stuff...
