I was just checking on a max care lifetime for wife's Journey and the 84 mo 100,000 mi was slightly cheaper, but not even worth considering for the difference in coverage. What's the Cherokee one running now? I paid right around $2,200 for my Jeep lifetime max care in 15, if I remember right, and the one for the Journey now is $2,680. Thinking I'll not do it for the Journey, pretty solid old school design with bugs pretty well worked out. It is a really nice ride though. Not sure I would own my Cherokee had I tried a Journey in 15.

Just to follow up after getting a few quotes, the MOPAR Lifetime $100 deductible Warranty is available until 48 months from original ‘in service’ date or 48,000 miles, whichever comes first. For those beyond the first 12 months, it is around $2800-2900, which includes a $150 surcharge for being over 12 months. Lifetime $0 deductible is available too, but it is about $2000 more expensive.

I ended up getting an 84 mo., 100 mi MaxCare deal from Tom Winkels with Hayes Jeep in Michigan, simply because he had the best price. He was very professional and thorough with this explanation of how the process worked. The others that I dealt with were also very helpful.

I also checked with my local dealer where I bought the vehicle. Tom Winkels beat their price by 50%. I offered to buy from them if they'd meet Tom's price. No deal.

Tom's email address is tomwinkels@hayescars.com

Glad to see another person who used Tom

He was great and professional to me. I know most folks on here use Clay. I was going to use Clay but he was on vacation and when I read that Toms dealership provided sponsorship a Jeep forum I didn't hesitate to use him

I think that there are a lot of other factors here to consider whether you want a lifetime warranty or not - but obviously is money is not an issue, then just go for it. The warranty will increase your sell price if ever you wanted to pass the car on to someone else but you'll have to consider whether you'll be making the most of it while the car is in your possession or not. I personally would go for the warranty where it's available so here's hoping you manage to find a good deal mate!
