fast forwarding with premium sound system

In my previous car, there was a fast-forward button that did exactly that, fast forward through an MP3 track. In the Jeep premium sound system, I only see a button that skips to the next track. Is there a physical button or on-screen button that can fast forward within a track?

You can drag the crawler on the screen to fast forward through the song. Not sure but you may be able to do it as well if you hold the skip button in, kind of like an old discman.

I think that's exactly it. But if you let up too quick...dammit.

The slide bar works different than the one in my 2014 Journey Crossroad. The one in my Dodge followed my finger; the one in my Jeep is picky: it works when it wants!

I tried it out, the slide bar works well, but depressing the skip button fast forwards but too slow, but I imagine each has its uses.

However just today notice it is not recognizing my USB flash drive, although it is recognizing the SD card. Tried taking the flash drive out and reinserting but still isn't recognizing or playing music from the flash drive. Anyone else have this problem?

Well I figured it out, there are two USB icons on the 8.4 screen, so I was pressing the wrong one. Once I pressed the other USB icon, music played. I had put the flash drive in the USB slot below the a/c controls. Where is the other USB slot?

With my iPod plugged in via USB, and my iPhone paired via Bluetooth, I sometimes have 2 iPod icons!

If you're connected with Bluetooth, it may be connecting with the cable as well as Bluetooth.
