.... One thing I am trying to figure out now is what type of switch and how to mount it for the 10 amp line from the battery. Any recommendations or pictures? Thanks.
Most any switch capable of handling 10 amps at 12 volts is a candidate. The key is to mount it in series
with the 10 amp fuse. The fuse can be left in to protect the circuit while the switch is used to turn the EPS on and off.
Some determining factors on switch selection are:
- Where do you want to mount it?
- If locating the switch in the interior then it does not need to be waterproof. Some have drilled a hole in the lower dash and mounted a switch there. If you have already poked a hole in the firewall then the wires can use the same route.
- If you locate the switch in the engine compartment then it should be waterproof
. If the switch already has wires attached it can be easily spliced into (and even zip tied to) the wire with the inline fuse.
- Some switches have an LED light or on/off labeling if that is desired. However it really is not essential because part of the departure checklist should be to turn the steering wheel anyway to make sure the EPS is active.

Searching Amazon selecting "Automotive Parts & Accessories" department will turn up a myriad of choices.
