Key fob to roll windows down.

Hey all....

I had a coworker ask me yesterday if my new jeep had the ability to role the windows down like some older jeep key fobs could do. Anyone know if it is possible with the 2017 key fobs? I have not seen anything in the owners manual.

i'm also not aware that this was a feature on older jeeps, either. only Chrysler car that i'm aware of that could do this was the 2008-2010 Chrysler Sebring Convertible and the 2011-2014 Chrysler 200 Convertible (same car, redesigned with a new name). the key had a button that would lower the windows and the top as well.

I was able to find some info on another Jeep forum, it seems it was an option on 2011 Grand Cherokees.

I wish my Cherokee could do that. That was one of my favorite features on my VW's. Just hold the door unlock button on the key fob and the windows would roll down. Hold the door lock button and they all rolled up. Great on hot summer days. Oh well, my VWs didn't have remote start and my Jeep does so that's a plus.

At least with remote start you can turn it on and let the a/c run for a couple of minutes. I do that on hot summer days and it takes the pain out of having an all black car in south Texas.

The way Chrysler did it was you pressed the unlock button once, released it, and then held the unlock button for as long as you wanted the front two windows to lower.

I know they disabled that on 2012+ minivans. Our 2011 does it (when the garbage keys work)
