Body/Class designations are assigned to vehicles under development before marketing and sales get ahold of them once confirmed for production. Manufacturers have to have a way of tracking drawings and data. It's essentially a code that is assigned by a MRP system, or at least that is what I was told be a FCA engineer....

FCA/Jeep are not the only ones to do it, but Jeepers do seem to be the only ones to really get off on using them. Anyone know what GM's F-Bodies were? (No Googling )

I thought this was that same person that wanted to get rid of his 2017 KL TH for a 2018 Terrain lol. The person literally said he wanted to get rid of his pos and get the 2018 Terrain on the Terrain forum haha

The Terrain/Equinox is a pos, traded a 2011 GMC Terrain, had the 2.4L 4cyl replaced at 33K miles after 6 months of oil consumption evaluation. With those vehicles going to all 4 cyls, they can keep them, plus they'll be getting a whole "new" 9 speed transmission designed with Ford, double pass. They can't off road and that "new" turbo 4 cyl will poop out in about 30 to 40K miles.

Sooo, glad that I have a 2016 KL TH and GM can shove it!!

We traded in our '10 Equinox earlier this year. We got it in 2013 with 40k on it. It ran great until it didn't. Transmission started going bad around 90k so we noped the **** out of that vehicle while it was still worth something. Not worth pumping a bunch of money into it at that point, we would never see any return on it. May as well put that money toward the next car. Still got $7500 for it and the dealer knew the tranny had issues. We got her a '13 Ford Fusion SE and she loves it. (VW of Oakland was a very reasonable group of folks to do business with, by the way.)

That being the original Mopar K-car, our KL is the long version of the K.

Glad I got the V6 though.... even though it doesn't have air vents and that's one of the reason I'm trying to get rid off
