How are yours set to come on automatically? Do you mean with remote start?

In Controls/Settings/Auto-On Comfort, you can choose Off, Remote Start, or All Starts.

so do you think it is possible to take ventilated seats off a wrecked th or limited, and get it working on jeeps trims that never had that option? is it possible to rig the fan to have a manual on and off power switch?

I would think it's possible. But remember the seats have airbags, pressure sensors and what not that the computer is trying to read. I believe the ventilated seats are just basic fans so you should be able to rig them to an on/off switch.

Yes the ventilated part is just basic fan assy but as in my
case the lumbar with all way electrical adjustment plus
heated so there is a lot of electrical connection involved.
It may depend on what seats you started with as how
easy it will be to convert.

Ventilated seats are used by me quite a lot. I like to be cool. I always hear them. I have the radio or media on between level 15 and 20 usually. At 20 I can hear them less than I can at 15... ;-) They're noisier at high level than at low level, but they're always noticeable. If someone says they don't make any noise then I would suspect they've not turned them on.

Cheers, Hippo

Mine are on regularly... sometimes off. I love the fact that they keep my back dry, and even dry my shirt off after a mountain bike ride. All this to say that mine are definitely on, but with the radio off I still cannot hear them... maybe you just have a noisy fan motor?

How do you set it to go on automatically? I have to press it every time I get in the car, would be great to set it on all the time.

ETA: just read your explanation in post 42, have to go try it out now.
