Downshift from 3rd

Has anyone having the "will not downshift lower than 3rd unless coming to a complete stop" problem, talked to their service dept about it.
If so what have they said?
I know when they did 15-003 they put zero miles on my Jeep. I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it. I was going to ask them to redo 15-003 aka R01 (I guess) and make sure there's at least some miles put on it.
I haven't taken mine in yet for the simple reason I don't want to leave it there again and I'm trying to avoid getting angry because that's never pretty.

I have the same issue. Haven't taen it in yet. When I had the transmission flash, there service rep informed me that they had to the it on an extensive 50 minute test drive to reprogram it. Didn't look at the miles, but they did almost use up a quarter tank of fuel.

Please post back if you ask them about the issue as will I.

I have spoken to the dealer. First 2 times they said no issue noted. Third time I went for drive with Shop Mgr. This was also posted in another thread.

During the ride, I mentioned the jeep is not downshifting into 2nd gear. He says what do you mean. I say the jeep when you slow down stays in 3rd gear until you come to a complete stop. We then come to a slight grade and the jeep struggled to get up the hill. I said this is why I have been complaining about the jeep not downshifting into 2nd gear. You are basically starting out on the hill in 3rd gear. He looks at me and says "We already replaced your transmission once" (As if they did me a favor... Are you freaking kidding me) I said yes because it was not working correctly for completely different reasons. He went on to say this is a 9 speed transmission and is shifting as it should. I said NO IT ISN'T. (I am getting so freaking pissed at this time) This transmission I am sure was not designed to not downshift into 2nd gear. I said I think what happened is with the reprogram is that they pretty much removed 2nd gear because that is where the wobble was happening. If you are in 2nd gear only after complete stops then you are less likely to experience the wobble. He doesn't comment and drops me off at my work and says they will contact me later today.

When I spoke to the service writer when my jeep was done, he said it is not spitting out any codes so it is driving as it is designed. I told him its a bunch of bs. No one designs a transmission to not downshift into 2nd gear. He then says well maybe give it more time to learn.

I spoke to my case manager this morning and she is taking my complaints to the district mgr. We'll see what becomes of it.

My axles were replaced which got rid of my wobble.
Funny when anyone complains about a problem they seem to read from a script "that's the way it's designed to work" Well guess what then it's designed like sh*t buddy!
Seems they come up with a TSB to change the way "it's designed to work" a lot.
I guess, in other words they are designing on the fly..lol.
I rolled through a stop again today into traffic and just dogged along in third gear for a few seconds untill I floored it and then it jumped into 1st gear and took off like I was trying to show someone I had some kind of powerhouse machine...the I4 gave it away though. The last time I talked to my caseworker was a couple weeks after they fixed the wobble but she said if any new problems come up to contact her. I'm thinking I'll contact her if this isn't resolved real soon.
If I hear anything before you I'll post. Thanks for your experiences, at least I know I'm not just overly sensitive about this problem.

Same here. I would like to wait several weeks before going back to the dealer again. It feels like it will get worse not better if you give it more time to learn. SO I'll wait until it gets more obvious (maybe another check engine light on so that they cannot say IT IS DESIGNED LIKE THIS).

You are correct. Mine is getting worse. Had 15-003 done on 2/11

My axles were replaced also. I only have had one occasion where it would have been a slight wobble since then. That being said, how sure can we be that the wobble is fixed if they have pretty much eliminated 2nd gear where the wobble emanates.

I've driven a little over 1000 miles since having RRT 15-003 applied to my V6 AD1. Noticed the holding of third gear soon after and it hasn't really changed at all. If the complete stop is brief enough it still won't downshift to first on take off if you don't floor the throttle. I would call this new characteristic borderline dangerous.
