Quick update. Meant to post a couple days ago.

They replaced the valve body, drove it, and got a new code.

They replaced the wiring harness thinking the new one they just installed might be faulty, drove it again, and got More codes.

Chrysler finally agreed to send a transmission, and they're waiting for it now.

Why am I not surprised. Glad they are going to get it straight and demand, not request, it is a fresh transmission from Kokomo, not a refurb or rebuild.

that's not necessarily a good thing. the refurb transmissions are having a lower failure rate than the factory ones since they have the "human" touch to them.

He has a 2016, they were the better hardware and should not have had a problem unless it was an early 2016 build and could have received a 2015 transmission straggler. Still waiting on the build date.

Unless you know something from FCA, do tell, to help the group.

I have shared the build date privately with the OP, it's his place to share with the group if he feels it is appropriate. and my comment was repeated from a conversation i had with my service manager a few months ago where he said that they were seeing fewer failures with the remaned transmissions than with the factory built ones. exactly why, i'm not sure.

Must be the newer hardware, not going to be concerned about mine just yet, 11/14/15 build date BTW, the old transmissions should have been flushed out of Toledo by then, if not still under the factory warranty and have MaxCare as the forever back up.

I understand and respect your position, but over the years I have heard some of the dumbest things from some service managers. And those particular managers never seem to have facts to back up their profound comments.

So I know this is my first post but I think you should consider yourself lucky man. I put mine in the shop way before yours for the same exact thing and now I'm still waiting another week before the valve body ships out. That puts me a month in the shop with a whopping 5k miles on it and 5 months in.. jeep cares has been no help at all either. Feels like wasting my breath calling them. I'm about to lemon the stupid thing out on just principal but I love the darn thing. Just frustrating.

Sorry to hear that... and welcome to the forum by the way

Regarding the part I bolded from your message ; when you say *calling* Jeep Cares, do you mean FCA customer assistance, by phone ? I'm asking because the *real* Jeep Cares reps don't do business by phone, they get in contact with owners via forums and other social media. And they offer a much better service (IMHO) than FCA customer assistance...

Yeah you are right, I thought they were one and the same lol. Honestly I've been loyal to jeep for years and never had a problem before now. I can't fathom why it would take a month to get one thing fixed. But I did take your advice and reached out to keep cares via twitter. Thanks so much man.
