What size winter tire for the TH?

So I've done some searching but can't find what tire sizes are people using for their winter tires?

Most threads are about IF to use a winter tire. I'm past that point. I know I am already getting winter tires but would like some feedback on what sizes people are using for their TH.

Are you using the stock size 245/65/17?
or slimming it down to say 225/65/17?

Ideally feedback for Toronto/Ontario weather would be great but any and all feedback is welcomed

I'll be going with a stock sized aluminum wheel and blizzak tire set. I've gone with skinnier winter tires on other cars before but I feel like 245 width is just right for the TH.

I'm located in Newfoundland. First winter I used the stock tires and they were surprisingly good...but won't run them 2 winters. I'm purchasing stock-sized Blizzaks within the hour.

V1's can be had for cheap right now since most sellers are switching over to stock the new V2. Not sure which way to go myself, latest and greatest vs. seasoned and praised.

I'm going to try the first winter without the snow tires...we'll see what happens. I'm hoping the stock AT tires will do the job for me, if not then I'll be on the lookout for new rims.

Just picked up my set from costco last weekend, went for "the best" Blizzak DM-V2 245/65R17 still need to pick up a set of rims but the rubber cost $810 cdn after tax went with costco because of their pretty awesome warranty & tire swap/rotation. Still undecided on rim choices

Just priced these yesterday at Costco. Was quoted 144 per with installation, balance, nitrogen and as you said...an awesome tire swap and rebalance for 10 dollars per tire. Think I will wait until November to do it though.

"Wha's a Jeep?"
"The Jeep's a magical dog and can disappear and things."
As his language is limited to the word "jeep,". He possesses high intelligence, so is able to help humans such as Popeye and Olive Oyl solve complex problems. He makes use of a limited form of teleportation: he can disappear from one place and reappear in another, and can walk through and on walls and ceilings. These teleportation powers are said to stem from the Jeep's ability to cross into the fourth dimension.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Whats the warranty and swap/rotation that Costco is offering @Go_Habs?

Right now I am looking at the Blizzaks DM-V2 vs Toyo Observe G3 Ice or GSi5
