curb strike, alignment or more?
mentioned in another thread but thought I'd start a separate one just for this issue. hit a curb last weekend & damaged a tire. using a full size spare now. a pre-owned tire with wear similar to the other 3 will arrive this week. I have an appointment to have the tire mounted this weekend. last night I noticed my steering wheel is offset by just a tiny bit. also, I think I have a tiny bit of shimmy, wiggle or vibration over 70 mph which I can feel & also see in the steering wheel. wondering if I'll need an alignment or perhaps something else?
I'm thinking I'll start w Town Fair tire to mount it up & check the alignment. I was going to just give them just the wheel w bad tire that's in my trunk, then mount it myself on the car at home. but now I'd like a pro look at the front end
I hit the curb at approx 5 mph maybe less
anyone have the same thing happen to them? or anyone with ideas?
