Latitude Wheels

So I am guessing since the ALTITUDE can fit 18" wheels, a LATITUDE can be fitted for 18" wheels?

I have a LATITUDE but want it to look a little more, 'rugged' and 4x4. I don't want to lift the car, just want a larger tire and a different set of rims; would be preferred to fit my KL with the black rimed wheels you see at the top of this website on the KL that is cherry red.

And if you respond to this, I would appreciate it, but I do not understand a whole lot about tires, rims...etc. I need it in basic straightforward info.

Adding a bigger wheel is not the issue, you can put 20"s on there if you can find them in the right specs. Its the tire that matters as far as clearances go. Generally you dont go bigger on wheels for offroad/4x4, you go bigger on tires.
You can get new wheels, or the cheaper route: have yours powder coated black if thats what you are after.
If you get bigger wheels, you will need new tires to fit on them. If you get wheels the same dimensions as yours (or have yours powdercoated), you can reuse your existing tires.

If I'm not mistaken, the Limited's standard 18" wheel/tire package is a factory option on the Latitude, so you can always switch to the Limited's wheels. In fact, the Altitude package appears to have the Limited's wheels with a black finish in lieu of the standard polish. Expect to overpay if you buy any OEM 18" wheels from your dealer though. Also note that while the wheel is larger, the tire has a thinner sidewall making the overall diameter essentially the same. In short, the Limited's 18" wheels will not fill up your wheel wells any better than the stock 17's as long as it is dressed in factory size tires. Now the Trailhawk also has 17" wheels (1/2" wider), but it's outfitted with all terrain tires in a larger diameter. If your Latitude has the ADII AWD system w/1" suspension lift, I assume, but cannot confirm, that the Trailhawk's wheel and tire package will technically fit. It will have an aggressive offset due to the Latitude's smaller fender flares, which you may or may not like. If they do fit, you can also expect an error in the speedometer since your car is calibrated for a smaller diameter tire. BTW, the Trailhawk pictured above has the black painted version of the standard wheel, which curiously is not available from Jeep ... at least not yet.

You've just resurrected a 3 and 1/2 year old thread, and I doubt the original poster is still around.

What is your issue exactly ? Because the original poster had questions, not issues...

Ok I grabbed my crystal ball and will answer your question, I hope

- Would 18" wheels fit on a Sport or Latitude ? Answer : of course, if the specs are right. They would fit on a Trailhawk, too.
Latitude (AD1 and AD2) wheels and tires (225/65/17) are the (almost) exact same width and height as Altitude or Limited (AD1 and AD2) wheels and tires (225/60/18).
