If that is what is required as a scheduled maintenance interval....so be it.
Anyway, I got it wrong, the rock was between the rotor and the backing plate, Right rear wheel, Not something I would have found, SO I'm glad I did take it for its 3000km service and probably saved myself the cost of a rotor.
Seems kind of fragile for a Jeep to get a rock stuck in it's rotor. Aren't they built for this stuff? I drove my Jimmy along gravel logging roads at stupid speeds for hours and never once had a problem with rocks getting stuck where they shouldn't. Nor on a 1983 Subaru 1800 wagon, which I drove through the Sooke river the first weekend I had it.
