[QUOTE]If that is what is required as a scheduled maintenance interval....so be it./QUOTE]

Thats what I was getting at , an oil change is not required at 3000km . Unless you don't do many miles in a year and its indicated on the oil service life indicator .

Oh... and not a Trailhawk, a Sport. I didn't think they were that different, aside from the 1" lift and AT tires and wheels, and the transmission of course. Brakes are the same, aren't they?

My Trailhawk Squeeks

I think you just got lucky on the pebble. Even a lion gets stuff stuck in its teeth.

Re: the oil change, fwiw I read it like Kevin did. Think it's because you said "first 3000 km oil change," implying you'd do it again in 3000 more for the second 3000 km oil change, so forth. Gotta admit that'd be a tight interval!

Glad you got your issue sorted!

Getting a rock stuck in the brakes is just one of those things that can happen to any vehicle, kind of like picking up a nail in the tire and having it go flat. It happens.

Oddly, I picked up a rock last weekend. Worst sound ever while driving downtown in heavy traffic. Everyone looked, and it was literally the worst and loudest sound ever. Ended up having to pull over and floor it in reverse to dislodge the rock. Fun times

Got it...first ever 3000km service. A shake down cruise. Also the first three months of ownership.
Next oil change at 8000k

I suppose it was a lucky pebble. just never happened on anything I previously owned and I didn't exactly baby them. I wondered if it was a minor design flaw. I will hang on to it...it being lucky and all

I've never had it happen as well until my Cherokee, though my previous vehicles were cars with significantly smaller tires. Larger tire means a larger area for rocks to possibly make their way into. Maybe the same goes for yourself?

I have the same issue on my 2014 TH . I have 36 000km on it.
Was it under warranty?

My 2015 Trailhawk driver seat started squaking after 5,000 miles. I took it to the dealer and they had is for a few hours and said they heard the squeak too but after they drove it around again they said they didn't hear it anymore. I drove home and at a stop light I started bouncing in my car just to see if they fixed it and there it was...again. Sounds like it is coming from where my back hits the seat. Now I have to take it back in again. UGH.. I only have 9,080 miles on it..brand new car should not be making old car noises.

I had a similar issue and found that my caliper on the rear passenger was defective. They replaced the caliper, both rotors on each side and the pads, as well as the hoses etc. New car warranty won't cover rotors or pads though, so I had to pay out of pocket for those, even though they were destroyed due to the defective caliper and otherwise were in good condition. Chrysler Care rep said it didn't matter, I had to pay out of pocket regardless of whether the defective part caused damage to them.
