EOI AUS group buy RRO Rock sliders

Hi All,

I know this has been discussed before but want to get an EOI thread started and bumping this topic back up to see if anyone got any further with this? I'm keen to get a set of RRO Rock sliders... Seems to be a few of us around now with TH's and also a few that are modding for off-road use (was at least 4-5 of us getting the lift kits sent over)

Who would be keen to look at getting some of the RRO sliders if we can reduce the cost / shipping costs as a group buy? If this isn't viable, who is keen to look at getting in as a group to get a fab started locally?

For those who aren't across the sliders... They fit all models (not just TH's)

http://www.rocky-road.com/jeep-chero...k-sliders.html

Basic Rock sliders are US $345 OR $453 AUD

Rock Sliders with step rails US $419 OR $550 AUD

Cover Panel Kit US $99 OR $130 AUD

+ freight IMO the premium package (with rails + cover panels are $680 + freight list price)

There is a fab company in both Brisbane and Sunshine Coast currently building sliders. Havent seen either oroduct yet but will be a whole lot cheaper than shippong from the US. Last price I got from RRO they reduced the freight from almost $1000 down to $500 making the whole package almost $1200 Aussie. Way to expensive for me.

Local guys will be around $600 mark from what I have heard, but even if $800 still way cheaper.

Hi Guys.I am definitely interested in rock sliders and the RRO with all the bits do look good. If we can get the shipping cost down it could be worth considering. But having said that, if a local fab product can be ready without having to wait too long, I'd like to check that option too. I guess it's a "watch this space" situation.

Hey Dave,

Do you have their details? Wondering if we could get in touch to see what the ETA / quality etc are like, could possibly get a group buy order in if they look the goods

I guess the other question too is, what is everyone willing to pay door to door for a full RRO kit? I'd probably max out at $900 delivered

Yes, I think if the total comes in under $1000 it's going to be easier to get it past the "Minister for Finance".

Soooooo..... Today I was out on the trail and lost my drivers side sill mould, the whole thing...

Jeep want $410 for a new plastic one however on RRO website I load up their basic steel sliders are US$345 and shipping to Sydney only US$129.54.....so total US$475 which is about AU$630 landed at my house.... Seems like a pretty good deal compared to the Jeep plastic crap.

Two questions for the forum then.....

1) does this represent a dramatic shift in RRO shipping costs? (I'm calling the tomorrow)
2) has a local fabricator come up with a competitive product yet?

Cheers!
