Very happy. They reacted better than I had hoped for. The delivery of a hire car to my door was great service. When I heard they were giving me a rental, I fully expected a Hyundai Getz or at best a Toyota Echo etc. To get a loaded 300C was the ducks nuts. I mentioned before, I was going to judge them not on what went wrong (and not having the part in Australia), but how they made it right. They got it right. Having said that, I don't think I want to own a Jeep when it's out of warranty. Spoke to a guy whose Cherokee decided to drop its oil, the repair bill was $6k as it was a labour intensive fix, the motor had to come out. He had a month left on his warranty (which was honoured).

I had my MY16 TH delivered with the flared gards nicely stored in plastic in with my spare tire :-)

No, there is no option, I don't even notice them now. It's a safety recall, so end of story. Just took the TH for a 2 night south coast trip and back, 500k's, mostly highway, went like a dream as always, although I did notice the gears behaving a little differently at low speeds and I'm wondering if I had a transmission software upgrade as well. Fuel 8.4lts/100kms and I'm a bit of a lead foot on the open road.. That will do me!
