Headlight leveling

Hi guys,

Just wondering that number headlight level you use ?

The dealer said that 0 is the standard but it seems to be quite high and blinds people

It goes 0, 1, 2 ,3, with 0 being the highest and 3 being the lowest

What model/ year is that on? My 2015 TH doesn't have a manual levelling option, only the auto levelling (was surprised it didn't actually)

I have a 2015 Longitude, it has halogen headlights where your trail hawk is xenon

Mabey that is why you don't have the manual headlight adjustment

Correct.

Mine are too high as well (Latitude) and I have to re-aim them. I didn't know there were numbers in there though.

I read somewhere (I think the owner's manual for my wife's Mazda 3, that has the manual aiming) that the numbers roughly correspond with the number of back-seat passengers. Rule of thumb is that with only front passengers and a relatively empty trunk, the control should be at zero, and the lights aimed to that. Then when you add back-seat passengers (or equivalent in cargo), that pushes the back down and you adjust the knob to compensate. One passenger, set to 1, etc. If you're carrying three passengers *and* a bunch of heavy cargo, expect much flashing. :-)
