5 year warranty for Australia plus more changes

Here you go team. New vehicles come with a 5 year warranty. For our MY15's and 16's we get an additional 2 years added, if we want (does anyone in Aust on this forum have a 16?). Also servicing schedules have changed and other stuff.

Read about it here: Jeep 5 year warranty

and from the Jeep Aust site: http://www.jeep.com.au/there-and-back-learn-more

Wow! That is a nice change.

And lifetime roadside assistance to boot (although only if serviced at dealerships)

Plus they are nicking you for $1950 to add the two years to '15-'16 vehicles.

But, it looks like Zanlunghi is moving in the right direction....

He is moving in the right direction Skip. I won't mind the $1900 odd to extend the KL out for an extra two years (it comes around in Nov for me).

A step in the right direction but;
"Another catch, for a few buyers, is that despite the warranty increasing to five years, the distance coverage remains unchanged at 100,000km. Although still greater than the driving most Australians will do in that time (around 15,000km per year), that limit could stretch those that enjoy a regular road trip."
I will be one of 'a few buyers' that will miss out. With nearly 60,000 on the clock already and the car not quite 2 years old I don't think I will get to take advantage of the new warranty arrangements. I hope that Steve Zanlunghi will push for a Diesel Trailhawk.

The fixed price service is not a bad deal considering my 40K service was just completed and was A$813.

Wow...

"The company has also extended servicing schedules for MY17 Jeep models, growing from six-months/10,000km to 12 months or 15,000km for petrol and 12 months or 20,000km for diesel variants."

so there goes half of the servicing costs !

too bad I bought 5 months ago !

yea ! needed to happen... now just reduce the cost of services and reduce intervals... every 6 months is silly !

I had 6 years from my dealer anyway for free .... so doesnt really do anything for me personally.

well its not for us 2015 and 2016 owners... not without cost.. as I just got this from jeep Australia...

For MY15 vehicles purchased before February the warranty is available for purchase for $1950 and is via a third party insurer, Eric Insurance and you can contact them on 1800 999 977.

and we have to keep getting services every 6 months .. STUPID !!!!
