Just returned home from the trip yesterday. We were on the north slope of the Uinta Mountains, at Spirit Lake. Its at the end of FS road 001, which is off of the "North Slope Road/FS 221."
Fishing for Tiger trout was fast, but they were fairly small, 8-10 inches. Mosquitoes were biting faster than the fish, however. Head south from Mountain View, Wyoming to enter Utah and FS 221. Nice road in. TH handled towing a utility trailer no problem.

And yes, for our spectators, that is the N slope of one of the only E/W ranges in the CONUS... and it's a great area!

My son and I stopped in the fort on the way to Moab from Monument Valley over Christmas. Their interactive Media and films are pretty great. We got a private tour from and spent lot of time talking to one of the descendants because it's not busy in the winter. I didn't even know the place was there, and it ended up being a real trip hilight. Recommend stopping in there.

Yes, that Bluff Fort is awesome! My wife works with a person who is a direct descendent from the Perkins family who have a replica cabin at the fort. We have a couple of very old DVD's that show footage of a reenactment that has photos of before Lake Powell. Interesting stuff.

What happened to the pics? Were they removed, or are they just blocked by my work proxy?

Can DVDs really be considered "very old" yet??

Haha. How I probably could have said that better is: "We have a couple of DVD's that show very old footage....."
