Gold Butte Road and National Monument, NV
While visiting family in Las Vegas, we took a pleasant warm April morning to visit the newly designated Gold Butte National Monument created by President Obama shortly before he left office, much to the chagrin of the Bundy family who reside in the area. I have never visited the area. I was astounded by the beauty, particularly with this time of year and the many wildflowers in bloom. The attraction for us was exploring for Native American rock art and we were not disappointed in the lucrative discovers. Here are a few pics of the area, including a few of my daughter's kids having a great time.
