Looking for Graphics Ideas

I want to put some graphics on the sides of my TH to help distinguish it from the other white Cherokees I see out on the road. What can I say? I want to be unique!

I've got this big blank canvas, but I have no clue what to do with it! I've got some ideas, like I want to incorporate the Trailhawk logo in red, and I'd like to do something that goes along with the Jeep culture and fits with Western North Carolina/Appalachia.

My initial thought was doing a hawk near the front with some type of striping along the side, but I haven't been able to figure out anything I like... The striping just is difficult to work out on this body shape.

I had another idea where I would like to incorporate a topo map, but any way I work it, it seems like it's gonna be expensive... Especially if it gets damaged and I have to replace it!

Suggestions would be appreciated; pics, sketches, interpretive dances, etc. are all welcome!

And to those of you who are graphically inclined, (hint: @graphicswizard, @TigerHawk2016) maybe someone like y'all could help me come up with a final design for my local shop to cut. (For a nominal (hopefully negotiable) fee I'm sure!)

@tbrou6229, graphics are really non-verbal communication. Custom vehicle graphics are much like tattoos. They should have meaning ... communicate a message, either to you or the world around you that will see your communication. So the question is: What do you want to say? About yourself? About your Trailhawk? About your location? A great graphic grows from a kernel of personal meaning. Share some of that and we can probably get the ball rolling.

How about something simple like off road muddy tracks with a Trailhawk logo as part of the tread pattern along the lower part of the doors

Well, I like moonlit nights, listening to the rain, long walks on the beach... Lol, jk.

I want to stand out in the crowd. There's a lot of stuff that has been overdone like the mountain scenes and a lot of the regular pinstripe patterns.

I love getting out in the woods, hiking, driving, camping, exploring. That's one of the reasons I went with the Jeep name, and was considering a map-theme. I really like it in the hood decal on some vehicles, and thought it would be cool to expand on that. (I also love maps) *grin*

I've looked at that, but the muddy tracks on the side or hood never made sense to me... It looks good on some vehicles, and I like how you did it, but my thought on that is, why did someone run over my Jeep? Ha ha

I like the topo-map hood decals, but assuming the OEM hood decal is more than just decoration – to reduce reflective glare – it would make more sense to use a "night version" topo map, similar to the uconnect nav maps. The "land" turns black with roads and water standing out in brighter colors.

Where do you go Jeeping a lot? Deserts? Do cactus graphics. To the mountains? Have some pine tree graphics... To the beach? Have some sand dunes.... You get the drift of my thoughts there.

Yeah, I agree with that. I don't think a full-color version would look good with my current theme anyways. But I'm less worried about the hood and more about the sides... So much blank space!!!

Lol, no cacti here. And no sand dunes. I've looked at the pine theme or mountains, but nothing has caught my eye so far as something I'd want.

Lol, I'm difficult, I know!

Blank space isn't necessarily a bad thing. In advertising, we call it "white space." We use it to make a message stand out. Look at Apple advertising for expert use of white space. Anyway, a topo map on the hood lays the groundwork for related graphics on the sides ... like a compass in which the needle is the Trailhawk emblem silhouette. Tells an adventure/trailblazing story. See? Gotta build a concept before fiddling with the details.
