Heck yea, i love this look. Always loved the Jurassic Park vehicles... although i don't think our vehicles could pull an RV slumped over a cliff connected to our winch like this Mercedes ML did haha! I wouldn't mind if my vehicle looked jurassic park ready

What's interesting about the ML320 is that it never came with a V8 (The ML430 did), but instead a 3.2 V6, which back in 1997 was only 215hp. And yet, there were times during when Eddie is pulling the RV up it sounds like a V8. I was wondering if for the movie, they stuffed in the 4.3L V8 (which had around 280HP and nearly 300 ft. lbs of torque) that would eventually go into the ML430.

I'm sure somewhere there's a write-up of what was modified for the movie.

What is also interesting is the Merc also had a broadly similar 4WD system (Called 4-Wheel Electronic Traction System) like the KLs have, in that it uses braking to simulate the effects of a limited-slip/locking differentials.

I'd like to think if the engine was not modified, perhaps the V6 KLs could in theory pull that RV up. Then again, it IS a movie. I wonder if Mythbusters ever tested out if this scenario could've played out in real-life.

As far as i know no engine modifications were performed only visual. The only thing is the 4WD Low took seconds to engage in the ML's ours takes a bit longer lol
