Tree pic is on the south side of Lake Crescent in the Olympic national park. The tread pattern was done at a sign shop we took a picture of the left front tire and used its pattern over and over to make it. It cost $375.00 with tax to have it and the side graphics made and put on. The MountianHawk once are going to be made this month.
That tire track racing stripe is a great idea. Very fitting.
Question about the front bumper: in one pic I see illuminated lights that appear to be on the front bull bar. But, in the pic where the lights are off I don't see bulbs in those locations. What am I missing?
PS: Love Lake Crescent and the Olympic Peninsula. Lived in WA for 20 years and took many many trips to the pen. Been to Lake Ozette?
I've always admired Pondhopper's decal graphics, including the door side mountain ones. I have contemplated putting an "Arches and Canyonlands" motif (being from Utah) to my Kl in a similar fashion. I concluded however, that since I have a granite crystal coloring, that the concept just would not work with an inability to create enough contrast for the effect.
I would offer a few points of constructive criticism, but if it's already affixed, it's a moot point. I'll keep those to myself to not have you second guessing yourself. If you like it, that's what matters.
1. I think it's a little too busy. Your 'mural' decal is plenty enough in my opinion. With your new sticker it just looks overdone.
2. The location. If you must add the decal, I think it would look better on the liftgate--a side where you don't already have so much going on. But if you MUST put it on the side, I would move it to where it's centered over the front fender, and put it directly above the fender (rather than a few inches above). Your main decal is centered between the two wheelwells, it looks 'off' to have your other one not centered, at least for a sticker of that size.
3. Maybe it's just the photoshop render, but your sticker looks very pixelated in comparison to your main decal. It looks incongruous.
Sorry if I'm flattening your tires here. Just giving you some honest feedback. You have a great looking rig, and this is my input on how I think you can help it, or steer clear of hurting it.
I'd say, do what you think looks good. If you ask fifty people what they think, you'll get 50 different opinions. It's your jeep. Have fun
