RRO Rails & Adventure Rack 170 Pounds???

About to order the rails and rack from RRO when I noticed that the shipping weight is 170 pounds??
I know that the weight limit for the roof isn't that high already but after adding the rack how much additional weight can I expect to put on top?

Also what do you think about adding the light bar but mounting an LED bar underneath instead of the Outdated KC lights on top?

LineX RRO Sliders and Bumper Bar; Rigid D2 Fog lights
Aftermarket Kicker 3.5 speakers, Apline type R 6x9, 10" sub and 8" sub preloaded enclosure powered by Apline 500w mono amp

This has been covered many times. So I'll make this quick and dirty. Factory rails are rated at 150lbs.

Gobi is rated at 300lbs moving 800lbs while parking. That's rack limit, not roof limit.

RRO doesn't publish numbers but since they use the same number of mounting points as Gobi I'd assume it to be similar.

The roof itself is rated to hold the full max weight of the vehicle of 5500lbs per roll over safety standards.

I agree, the weak link with any rack is the mounting points. Just realize the higher you mount things the more moment you put on those points. The same 50 pound load mounted low on the rack VS high will have a drastically different effect on the bolts holding it all to the roof.

As for the light bar, I like the idea. I kind of wanted to do this but once I shot a straight edge across the roof there isn't as much room as there looks to be due to the crown of the roof. An issue made worse if you have a sun roof. This was with the factory side rails though. I think the RRO rails are higher so maybe it would work.

Thanks for the info. I will probably be hanging a hammock or two off these rails whenever I hit the trails just needed to make sure they can serve that purpose

Lateral forces are very different from sitting weight. Could they take it, prolly but keep an eye on it. Even awnings that are mounted often have support legs.
