Anvil is a neat color... just not for everyone

Here are some pics I took of a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sport in Anvil.

BTW - I ordered my Trailhawk in Anvil and have no plans on changing that!

not to start a fight, but many Android phones overexpose colors in their photos... may explain the paleish blue colors some photos are showing...

Also, lighting does make a difference.

Thanks everyone. After seeing some of the photos flouting around the web, including the ones labeled as an anvil TrailHawk in the new brochure on the Jeep website, I was getting very nervous. But Gray is Good.

just put $500 down today at a dealer. They are getting a Black TH and an Anvil TH in tomorrow. Both have the same options on them. They said I can pick which one I like on Friday. Will post pics if I go with the Anvil... we'll see!

Another good source to see the Anvil color under differing light is by watching the Tales of the Trailhawk video series (videos 5-10).

I like the color just fine, but it does seem to change based on lighting for sure. I couldn't buy another black vehicle so this was a good choice to me.

Most pictures I have seen are over-exposed by flash - mine isn't great either, but give you some idea.

flourescent lighting brings out a blueish hue to the color. It is actually very gray. I was tempted last spring by an Anvil 10th Anniv Rubicon. .. It looked great and dark gray.

What decal is on your door? Awesome TH by the way! What options/packages did you get?

I have given up on trying to figure colors on the website. I live a mile away from a dealer so I just go check it out in person.
The colors on the Cherokee are shared by multiple models, mostly the GC and Wrangler.
The interiors leathers are the same as the grand Cherokee limited and overland trims.
The granite is a gray/brown. In sunlight the brown is a very subdued but very dark.
The billet silver is brighter than granite but it is not as light as a true silver.
Anvil is a dark, flat gray. In fluorescent lighting a blue hue pops out that is not really noticeable in natural light.
The blue brown leather interior is darker but richer looking than the photos on the website. I looked at a CH Limited today with the big sunroof and the blue/brown interior... it was really nice and rich.
