Hello from Switzerland

Hello everybody, I live in Switzerland, and I just bought a brand New Cherokee. It's a black limited version. Engine is the turbodiesel 2.0 liters Multijet.

I've made about the first 1500 miles and everything is fine. I'm very happy.

One thing I found strange, it's the tires size. Reading in this forum I found that the factory tires size in the USA are different from Europe.

My truck came with 225/55 R18 Summer tires. But now has the 225/60 R17 Winter tires. Everything on original rims. In the US I read in this forum the car comes with larger tires.

Happy New Year to everybody

Congrats on the new Limited and welcome to JCC, depending on the model, US versions come with 17" or 18" wheels and tires and many have changed sizes when adding aftermarket wheels as well....

Welcome! We will be going to Könitz (Bern) in April. Unfortunately we won't have a Jeep to get around in!

"Wha's a Jeep?"
"The Jeep's a magical dog and can disappear and things."
As his language is limited to the word "jeep,". He possesses high intelligence, so is able to help humans such as Popeye and Olive Oyl solve complex problems. He makes use of a limited form of teleportation: he can disappear from one place and reappear in another, and can walk through and on walls and ceilings. These teleportation powers are said to stem from the Jeep's ability to cross into the fourth dimension.

Hello everybody,

I know diesel engines in the US are not very popular.

But in Europe are the most popular engines on most of the cars and light trucks.

Actually, when you pay about $5 / gallon your fuel, you would consider to go for a diesel. And in Switzerland prices of diesel and gasoline are still among the cheapest in Europe....

I would have loved to get a Cherokee TH, but it exists only with a gasoline engine. If it existed with a nice diesel engine I would have gone for it! :-)
