New 2017 Latitude guy here :)

Was shopping between Mazda CX5 Touring and Jeep 2017 Cherokee Latitude.

About 2.5 weeks ago I decided to go with cherokee 2017. Overall I love the car but would like to find out about any possible tips or tricks? you guys know.

Second in future I'd like to add remote start, saw the parts on mopar for 300$ just parts so I wonder how much would it be for dealer to install it?.

Third somehow my model does not have auto climate control.. I overlooked that :/.

Got also free navigation "as port of my negotiation" process. Wish there was live traffic but there isn't.

Will do my best to be active here on this forums because not too long ago I wouldn't expect to end up with a jeep
sgrim, Fj4080 and Dark like this.

Congrats and welcome!!

About the remote start, I had that added to my 2014 Cherokee three years ago and if you live somewhere cold it's really worth it. Along with the parts, the dealer charged 1 hours of labour to get is installed and reprogram the keys (the original molar kit comes with a new pair of keys that include the remote start button). Worked great!

I live in NY, Brooklyn. It's random here with winters but i'll be traveling to PA a lot in next coming months.

Did you do everything at the dealer? or you bought parts yourself and just let the dealer install it?

I also took the extended warranty it's suppose to include vin-etching.. so I went to get my navi installed last week and they said they don't do vin-etching.

It's supposed to be part of the warranty, any ideas on that one?

Congrats on the new Latitude and welcome to JCC. I m guessing you got a third party warranty? I don't believe FCA offers VIN etching as part of their warranty.

Yep, all at the dealer. Ordered the parts and the next day drove there in the morning to get it installed. The best part was that since it is OEM and the vehicle gets reprogrammed, it integrated with the climate control, firing up the heating when was cold and AC during summer.
According to them it would also be covered along with the vehicle warranty, but that I can tell for sure if is true or not since I didn't have any issue until I traded the jeep last September.

It appears to be MOPAR warranty.

When I have more time i'll have to bother them a little bit about.
