New Guy

Hi Guys,
Looking forward to trading ideas, praises and complaints about my '14 KL trailhawk.
2.4 with accessories from Rocky Road Outfitters. Same squeaky steering, and transmission
quirks as yours...

Welcome and there is a lot to learn and share.
Mine is a '14 Limited and has been perfect for the past 3 years.
The transmission is basically software driven mechanical device.
It has an interesting feature called AL or adaptive learn algorithm. Basically it adjusts to your personal driving habits. This can take up to a few thousand miles.
Also if you got any or all of the warranty transferred when you purchased the trail hawk then you might want to make sure all the transmission and engine software are up to date.
Also any and all of the recalls have been done.
When you get time you might want to check that cabin air filter. There are U-tube videos and information on this forum on how to do it.

Good luck and enjoy that Trail Hawk.

Welcome to JCC, the place you will find solutions to all of your KL problems.

To start, IIRC there was a TSB back in the beginning or 2014 regarding the squeak in the steering and it was lubrication of a pad in the shock tower I recall....a bit foggy but if not, something similar. IF that's it and you've been living with it for three years without a dealer need to change dealers.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.
