Hey! A new 2016 Cherokee owner here, but an active participant in the forums for my other set of wheels, a Mazda Mx-5. Lot of good ideas and every day a new way to spend money on your big cars. I also own a slot car track and race little toys cars called slot cars.

This was actually the first forum I joined as well.. Now, I find myself finding forums for every one of my interests.

I actually grew up in Dover Plains but moved down to Westchester a little over a year ago.

Welcome @THawkT, used to race slot cars on the way home from school most days at a comp track I passed. Got bored with the pure speed after a while and built an 18 wheeler, use to be able to jack knife it on the corners and block 4 of the 8 lanes! They banned it after a while Haven't thought about that in a while, thanks for the memory dig! (We are talking early 80s so around 35 years ago)

Edit: since you brought it into mind googled the old track and found this video from the 80's of it!

Hi All

I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk that I purchased used with 30thousand km on it. It had a tow package on it which is why it was purchased because we have a 3000ib trailer to pull and our pick up is getting a little old. Went to the dealer to have a brake controller put in and come to find out the hitch and wiring was aftermarket even though it looks original. What will it take to do to my Jeep to increase the towing capacity?

Hello all I've been lurking here a couple of weeks. Right now I'm in the Chicago area shopping for my first Jeep Trailhawk. I decided it has to be Black 6 cylinder. I've got my eye on 4 or 5 of them mostly at dealers in the area the prices seem to be all over the place from 23K-29K for 2014-16's with various mileage. I don't want a 17. I'm not sure of the little differences or what I should be looking for etc....in all these vehicles. I drove a 16 that was $27K and saw a 15 that was 23K that I'm probably going get. I also read the thread about putting in aftermarket speakers/amp/sub etc.... so that's the main reason I came looking on here. Right now I drive a 2001 Blazer I'm keeping and I'm selling a mint condition 2000 Camaro SS that has to sell before I buy the Hawk. Any suggestions would be helpful before I buy. Thanks

Hello all! I live in Colorado Springs and just picked up a 2017 Trailhawk. I've been looking at getting one for a couple years and finally traded in a Compass for it last week. Couldn't be happier!

Hi,
When I first saw new Jeep Cherokee design couple of years ago - I knew that this would be my new car. Sold my Honda cr-v and now enjoy Cherokee Latitude 2015, V-6. Glad that I found this forum where I can find some info.
