Monitor not turning on

Has anyone had there monitor stop responding when you press a button? I tried turning off the screen which resulted in the whole screen not turning back on. I tried turning the car on/off and the monitor still does not turn back on. The back up camera still works though when I put it in reverse. It is -23 here tonight. The Cherokee was in colder weather last week and everything was working fine. Since everything is closed tomorrow I will be bringing it in on Thursday. We have picked up the car last Sat and did not expect this problem. I have a Trailhawk, 2.4, cold weather group, back up camera and nav.

Has anyone experienced this?

I have a the 3.2 Limited with all options( live in Kingston)...have not had this problem but my back up assist does not work properly in very cold weather...wants to brake all the time when you try and back up so I just disengage when weather really cold. Good luck with your issue, look forward to hearing the outcome.

I had a lot of issues when I first got the car, but the temperature was well below freezing here. The front and back sensors, the SD card, just weird little glitches and such. After things warmed up, everything started working, except the Resume button on my cruise control.

Was told there was an update to the Parking Assist function that needed to installed by the dealer, so I plan on taking it in next week. I am going to ask about the cold weather issue, and hopefully fix the resume button.

I had that happen to me a couple of times too. Pressed the SCREEN OFF button, and then neither tapping on the screen nor hitting the button again would turn it back on.

Restarting the car worked each time for me though. I am showing it to the dealer this weekend.

I have the 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk with 2,400 miles on it. The monitor first went out the other day (was warm and sunny) after driving about 15 minutes. I thought maybe I had inadvertently changed a timer setting but didn't have the problem the next few times I drove it. Then, today, it has been shutting off after only a few minutes. Restarting works but obviously can't pull over every few minutes. Really bummed as I can't do anything in the car without the screen. Also can't get into Service for a week.
