yeesh, that sux man. too bad the company doesn't let you trade it in for a different cherokee, 14 visits in a year is 13 visits too many, people have been taking advantage of the lemon law, where they pay you back full price. so basically some people have been leasing their jeeps for free and then getting brand new cars afterwards, a real sweet and fair deal in my opinion.

Last week the lower part of my shifter button popped out. I pushed it back in, now the whole shifter button is wobbly.

I have not had this happen. Must be one of the 3 out of 9, I've put 32,000 hard miles on mine, lots of off-roading. No such issue.

Break off the extra piece of plastic on the piece that broke so you get a flat surface. Then you can use double sided tape or velcro tape to put it back. I'm hoping the double sided tape will hold good enough when I go to trade mine in.

14 Cherokee Limited I4 - 93000 miles
11 Nissan Juke 6spd (fun to drive)
07 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited - 3.3 V6 220k miles and still going strong
05 Ram 3500 Dually Cummins I6 beast

Happened to me today.. just fell off.. :/

you would think they would have tested this knob with a simulator for millions of shifts!

Think its time to trade for a Kia or Hyundai, they have great reviews...

Happened to my 2014 Limited just before warranty ran out but of course I didn't look at mileage so when I took it in for oil change, it was out of warranty. I was able to glue it back on.
