Does anyone know how to remove the headrest on the drivers seat??? I want to flip it around (i push the button, as if i were trying to remove the headrest, but it seems to get stuck at the very top).
Well I did get mine out, I forgot to come back to say so. It does take some finagling and I used my head as the third hand needed. The back ones are now stored in back in case I do have a passenger back there.

Stefanie, you might be messing with your insurance if you tamper with a safety device by turning the headrests around. Try a cushion behind your back though that might be frowned on too. Best bet is to ask your insurance company. Some people get special dispensation to not use seat belts, why couldn't the same be true for head rests? I did find an angle that allows me to not slouch and not bump my head after some fiddling around.

ETA: I mean adjusting the seat back angle, not the head rest angle.

The head restraints are without a doubt the most annoying "feature" of my 2017 Cherokee. I traded in my 2014 Escape Titanium (with adjustable angle head restraints) for this car and now I'm wondering if I made a mistake. I am most comfortable sitting in a vertical position, which this head restraint doesn't allow. At 5'6", the only way not to get a cramp in my neck/shoulder is to lay the seat back "gangster" style, no matter how I adjust the restraint up/down. This is definitely an uncomfortable ride.

Took me a while to get used to too, and I sit with a moderate recline. Not gangsta status but somewhere inbetween. In my position, it wasn't really uncomfortable, but I definitely noticed it. My wife has better posture, and she complains whenever she sits passenger in the KL. (Probably when driving too, but if she's driving, I'm not in the car, so I don't have to hear it. Ha!) When we go on a trip I actually have to take out the headrest for her. I removed the rear headrests altogether. I nevvvver have any rear passengers (at least ones who aren't in a car seat!), and they just get in the way of visibility, and get in the way when I fold my seats down.

But yeah, I could see how that could be very uncomfortable. I love the KL, but damm if it doesn't have a few absolutely horrendous design flaws. At times it seems like it was designed with a particular driver in mind, not *all* drivers.
