It's funny how I can own a vehicle for a while, and keep discovering things I never even knew existed:
1. Somewhere, I saw a picture of the inside of a Cherokee's driver's door. The leading edge of the side of the armrest was made to look like some kind of light colored wood. So, I went out looked at my doors. That area is covered with what appears to be Black Zebra Wood. I never noticed it, because my interior is black! I doubt if it is real wood; it is very hard to see unless you are looking for it.
2. The second Rotary Knob. Ambient Light Dimmer. I never had a clue what this was for. Last night I was out on the Interstate, with no street lights and I noticed the door handle lights and the lights in the door bins. I am always in a lit area at night, so I never noticed these! I did not see the one in the overhead console, nor the ones under the i/p or the door map pocket lights. I don't even know what they mean by door map pockets! I have been fooling with this rotary switch for 3 months, but never noticed any change of light because I was always in a lit area. The Dodge Journey used to have this feature, but it was eliminated: now I know why. These lights are useless unless you are in a completely dark area.
