If you're under warranty, you could probably just swing into the dealership take care of this.

Bumper to bumper is out (just bought it used, 22k miles and haven't bought maxcare yet), but I popped the handles out and just the lower corner of the trim and there was staring at me a black nut with washer attached like this.

I didn't immediately see anything... And I don't have a power liftgate so there aren't many things in there to be bolted down. It was a small nut, too. Like maybe a 1/4" thread.
