storing cargo bar and cover 2014 cherokee

i thought i saw a video that showed when you don't want the cargo area enclosed - if you want to put down the sats and sleep for instance - that you can store the bar and enclosure in the back tire area.

am i mistaken?

if you can store it this way, please tell me how. i sure can't figure it out.

thanks

I dont believe there is any way to do that in the Cherokee, I know the Subaru Outback has that option when i looked at them.

I believe he's referring to the tonneau cover, and in which case I am not aware of a way to store it where the back tire goes. I would say the best bet is to store it between the front and rear seats if extra room is needed to sleep in.

I don't know if it will fit behind the back seat if you move the seat forward. I'm just not sure if the space is long enough without going out to measure...

you can drop it on the floor right behind the front seats when you have the rear seats folded down it's not in your way for sleeping. mine lives in the basement

that would be worth checking. that's a significant space, especially with the rear seats slid forward. I keep accidentally dropping my umbrella, snow brush & spare wiper blades down there
