There is a way to disable it. Answer is on this forum for free. I did it about a month ago.

The easiest way to disable the alarm is to use your seatbelt.

Sometimes not convenient when you are hooking up a trailer or launching a boat etc. You still get the visual alarm on the dash while unhooked as well.

Step 1 – Close all the doors
Leave the key in the ignition switch in any position except the "on" one. Now, buckle the driver’s seat belt.

Step 2 – Turn the ignition switch on
After turning the ignition switch on, wait for the seat belt warning light to turn off.

Step 3 – Buckle and un-buckle
Buckle and un-buckle the seat belt three times. This must be done within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, and the buckling-unbuckling three times must be done within a span of 10 seconds, ending with the belt buckled.

Step 4 – Turn the engine off
A single chime will go off. This signifies you have successfully reprogrammed the seat belt alarm.

Step 5 - Saved myself 5.99 and shipping!

The alarm goes away, but the indicator light will stay on, is that correct?
