Had a quick read of this thread and did not see anyone mention that the car has to be in the run position before it starts charging.

While I have tried the wireless charging feature on my Galaxy S7 Edge, I have 2 main issues:

1) It makes the battery pack on the phone VERY warm, which cannot be good for extended battery life.
2) Trying to keep a phone on a wireless changing pad while in a moving car is nearly impossible.

A good old micro USB cord attached to a 2.4a USB charger works far better for me.

I have just purchased a new 75th edition and it comes with a wireless dock, I currently use a Samsung S7 Edge. Will this phone fit in the charger? or does anyone know the maximum dimensions that will fit the charger?
Thanks

I am happy to report that I just factory ordered a 2017 Cherokee to replace my excellent 2014 Limited which is coming off lease, and one of my great pleasures was OMITTING from the order the annoying, inconvenient, and space-wasting wireless charging dock!

I have a S7 Edge as well, and it fits just fine in the wireless dock in my 2016.
