Sunroof rattle squeak

I have 7400 mile on my Limited. Recently an irritating squeak hasdeveloped coming from the sunroof. It is coming from the very center where the two pains meet. It’s not as bad when tilted open but then I get another rattleright above the driver side of the sunroof when I tilt it open. Has anyone elsehad sunroof noise issues? I am going to make an appointment with my dealer soon. Before I do I wanted to see in anyone had a fix first, or if anyone has had any dealer success with a fix.

I have a squeaky sun-roof. This doesn't always happens, and never happens when I bring the car to the dealer.

My squeak comes doesn't change when the window is open or closed, but the curtain position has an effect: the squeak often starts when the curtain is fully opened, it then stops (sometimes) when I close the curtain by a click.

I have a squeaky sun-roof too!

Got my Trailhawk in Nov 2013. Mine started to squeak 3 weeks. I'll be going to the dealer soon!

Had quite a loud sunroof squeak- more like a creaking noise that was quite prevalent when going over uneven pavement. 2nd attempt at a fix by service department appears to have been successful so far. I believe that part of the sunroof was taken apart and dirt removed. They may have also replaced a cracked seal that had dried out, but I am not certain.
The 1st attempt to eliminate it involved tightening something in the C pillar, but the noise remained.
I hope that your issue is resolved in a timely manner.

My sunroof squeak/rattle was VERY annoying! Took it to the dealership and they said everything was OK, it was just from "body flex".

After scouring the forums, I lubricated the entire seal with dielectric grease, and Tada! No squeaks!

This was done 2 weeks ago and it has been squeak-free since. Looks like the seals get pretty dried out so expect to do this every so often.
SkipW and Max57 like this.

I'm squeak free too after lubricating the seals with liquid silicone lubricant (type used on fitness equipment, treadmill belts, etc). However I still have the little "clunk" right where the two panes of glass meet as well. If anyone has been able to fix this specific noise I'd appreciate feedback on how! Thanks!

derren99 - I made an appointment to get my "clunk" noise where the two panes meet. IIt's not until next Friday the 31st. It keeps getting worse. I have tried silicone lubricant and it hasn't helped a bit.
