For reference, it does say (in part 2):

Quote:
TRANSFER POLICY: This plan is not transferable to subsequent owners or lessees, even if they are within the same family or business.
So that makes me think, FL resident or not, I'm not going to be able to transfer the plan. But again, I'd rather save the money now even with that limitation.

Great info enki...helps a lot to settle this. I agree, I'm in it with Zeller for the substantial money savings. I skimmed thru most of that legalize to the transfer info but have a couple of questions that may have been buried in all of the fine print that I missed and that is;

When the vehicle is brand new with the factory 3yr/36mo warranty and with a Mopar Maxcare Lifetime warranty purchased, does the Maxcare $100 deductible kick in AFTER the original factory warranty expires?

Also, are the additional benefits provided by the Maxcare available such as the car rental provision and other exclusive Maxcare provisions available immediately? I haven't dealt with a extended automotive warranty before so I'm not familiar how the overlap works. Forgive me if I missed this in your contract information post.

The standard bumper-to-bumper warranty takes priority during it's entire duration of 36 months. Additionally, the powertrain warranty also covers you (no deductible) for its term. The Maxcare warranty will cover you after they expire, and only then does the deductible kick in. So, for the most part, Maxcare is basically just on hold for the first few years.

For the additional benefits, those do go into effect immediately. Keep in mind that, unless something recently changed, Trailhawk purchases automatically enroll you into 2 free years of the Jeep Wave program. This gives you 4 free oil changes and tire rotations, rental car coverage during repairs AND maintenance and some other benefits. But outside of that, yes Maxcare coverage will be available. Basically anything that you get with Maxcare will either be taken care of by the plan or one of the basic ones.

Once again enki, you are a wealth of information here. The dealer never mentioned this. The Jeep Wave Program was a total pleasant surprise. I didn't know about that yet. (since I haven't yet taken delivery) I bounced over to the Jeep Wave website and yes the 2016 Trailhawk is still eligible as stated below;

A: Jeep® Wave is included in the purchase of select MY2016 Jeep® brand models (see below), effective program launch. Additionally, owners of MY2015 and newer Jeep® brand vehicles not listed below have the opportunity to enroll for an annual fee and experience the benefits Jeep® Wave has to offer.

  • Cherokee Overland, Cherokee Trailhawk
  • Grand Cherokee Overland, Grand Cherokee Summit, and SRT®
  • Renegade Trailhawk

Just to let everyone know, Clay at Zeller is still selling the Max Care Warranty with $100 deductible for $2430 to people here in Florida.I'm in Tampa and I just purchased it from him.
Is there a way that I can log on and see if the warranty has been applied to my vehicle?

If you haven't already, make an account on this web site --> Official Jeep Vehicle Owner Site
Once you get into your account:
-- Click on "Care" at the top of the page
-- Click on "Mopar Vehicle Protection" in the sub-menu that pops up
-- Click on the "See Your Plan" button that is toward the right on that screen
-- Enter the required information in the proper fields and click "Submit"

So I guess with that clause on purchasing the warranty out of state (Florida) does give you options.
#1. Save the money now on the Max Care life with no transfer benefit.
#2. Bank the extra $1300 or so you have to pay on the increased resale value and making it an easy sale you are sure to get with a lifetime warranty.
