only put on 15 miles so far but feels very smooth and quiet with alot of smooth power. feels like the old v8 cars. im sure the extra weight and longer wheelbase help make for a better ride. shifts really nice compared to the cherokee. gas mileage has same rating as my 14 trailhawk did. i always hated the small tank and this one has 24.8 gallon tank. so far i really like it. much as i love this new car i have to say it was tough getting rid of the cherokee as i really liked that car too.

Congrats. Enjoy.

After 4 GCs I was headed for #5. Test drove a '16 and it wouldn't fit in our garage. The KL TH has only 4" clearance as is, but I can close the garage door! This is VERY important in AZ. In the Summer!

I do love my Jeeps.

Being in Phoenix I'll second that... One thing I've noticed about the KL Cherokee is the A/C is INCREDIBLE !!! The only vehicle I've had in AZ where i find myself turn the A/C down.

I did the opposite... after owning several GC's (including my last, a 2015 Laredo Altitude) I traded to a 2016 Cherokee Lattitude (6cyl w/towing). I generally trade in cars approximately every two years since I drive 35-40K miles per year and tend to trade them as tires/brakes, etc. become an issue. With all of the driving I do I like the mpg's of the Cherokee, but I agree the bigger gas tank of the GC is a plus, because even at the nearly 30 mpg's I'm achieving, I still have to stop to fill up (it seems like a lot) more frequently. My GC Altitude had more bells and whistles than my Lattitude (sun roof, auto rear hatch, large screen nav.), but my Lattitude has the ones that are important to me (cold weather package, auto start). I just didn't need the room of the GC, wanted something that fits in my garage a little easier, and wanted the better MPG's. Overall I believe they're both great vehicles. The only thing I hate about my Lattitude are the headlights, which are almost useless!

I noticed the MPG specs are nearly identical too. V6 Grand Cherokee TH - vs - V6 Cherokee TH.
Makes me want to switch too.

I was rather shocked when I saw that back when GC TH window stickers became available. I've drooled over GCs since 2011 and finally test drove one while finalizing my decision to get a Cherokee. The Grand is just too large for me. The Cherokee is perfect. Whoever is in charge of all three Trailhawk styling needs a raise. Whether Cherokee or Grand, the Trailhawks look awesome (I kinda like the Renegade, too) . I saw a silver GC TH in traffic yesterday. It was my first sighting. It made me think, "are you sure the Grand is too big???"

Our Cherokee is just about right for most things... but gets cramped when we try to take longer trips.
Once my wife's Chevy Traverse finally calls it quits (120,000 miles now), a GC is probably in our future. It will actually be a bit of a downsize from the Traverse.
