Welcome to the forum, Mike ! (saw your intro thread but decided to welcome you here instead )

Price looks good. That's about half of what it went for new, and 50% depreciation is usually achieved after 4 years. The Cherokee is known for high initial depreciation though.

Since it is a 2014 model year, there are other factors like maintenance history that come into play though so it's hard to assess without the big picture.

Hope you enjoy the Latitude and the forum

Mark,

Thanks for the response, the Carfax report showed regular service and oil change. The vehicle was a former corporate vehicle from what it states it's initial purpose. Hopefully I will enjoy it, and I intend on getting a Max Care lifetime warranty for it as well.

Only time will tell if you got a good deal. I checked blue book and you didn't pay much more than what blue book says they are worth on trade in to a dealer. (most dealers never give blue book prices --much lower usually with Black book) Is it a V-6 or 4 cyl-don't think I saw that. I was going by 4cycl when I checked the price and gave it very good condition. (dealers never give it good condition blue book price when they appraise them--like I just said--black book) So if your happy and it gives you good service you got a good deal in my way of thinking.

Thanks everyone, spending money has never been easy for me. I pinch pennies even if they can't be pinched. The Jeep is a 4 cylinder, I intend to do modifications and will be posting them in the mod section. I didn't go with the 6 cylinder because there had been none with the cold weather package down here in the south. Furthermore, I don't ever drive with my foot to the floor, I am a very cautious and don't need the power. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
