help! 2017 vs 2014 trailhawk

as the title states i am looking at a trailhawk! heres my question..

there is a nice deal about 40 miles south of me for a 2014 trailhawk..its granite..and does have a few added options.

is there a way to use the vin id to see what all options it does have?--- ok researched and found all the options from research maniacs!

does the 2014 come with xenon lights? if not will adding hid or xenon affect the lens of the projector?

can you the uconnect system in the 2014 be upgraded through software to allow adroid auto or carplay?>

i went to my local jeep dealer today and test drove a 2017 granite with package 27e and sunroof..nice ride!

is the 2014 model that much inferior to the 2017? are there many changes? anything i should possibly look out for on a 2014 vs a 2017?

looking at around 32k + fees for the 2017 / the 2014 is 24k + fees...

any help from you all would be much appreciated!

WD

I love my 14 trailhawk and am very happy I bought it a few weeks back. However, after reading a lot of horror stories about the transmission I wish I had at least gone with a 15. I think mine is pretty much loaded expect for the towing package and 9 speaker system. That said I should have found a newer one with a few less of the fancy features.

The link below will give you the build sheet of the vehicle.

wait a bit for the 2018 refresh to drop. Then the prices will drop.

Its not. Or rather, it's doubtful anything is going to change.

Extremely doubtful they'll do an update. It's only had 3 model years. That's a bit soon, and FCA isn't known for updating vehicles frequently.

Correction: Chrysler isn't known to redesign a car frequently. Refreshes, however, are a different story, and FCA has been running a 4-5 year life cycle between refreshes for a while now. Not that I know anything about a refresh at this time (because I don't), but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if there was a slight front/rear/interior change for 2018. Not a full chassis redesign, but a refresh. With the plant moving production entirely to a new facility by the end of this month, now would be the ideal time.

2014 = Halogen, 2017 HID. I would love to be able to upgrade my 8.4 to Apple Car Play, but I have not heard if this is a hardware or software change. I can use SIRI to send text messages. On the 2014, find out what has been done to the transmission before you purchase it. Also, check the build date to see if it is an early or late build 2014.

MODS: Whispbars; Mopar Cargo Cover; Mopar Cargo Mat; Mopar/KICKER 9 Speaker Upgrade; KICKER Sub and Amp; Ziebart Undercoating; aFe CAI.

theyre bringing in a new engine. Most likely switch out the i4 for a turbo4 somewhat like the ecoboost mustang.
