Just ordered in Canada... now I wait for Belvidere to open

Went in yesterday and ordered my TH build. Paid invoice pricing (in Canada that's pretty good) and was able to lock in 0% @ 72 months (or .99% at 84 if I choose at delivery). If they offer 0% at 84 months upon delivery, I'll be able to switch.

Now, in addition to the usual wait tine, I have to wait for the Belvidere plant to open. I assume they'll be slow to start and backlogged with orders. I'm guessing 2-3 months (jul/Aug) for delivery.

Anyone else have insight to lead times with production moving to Belvidere?

Not that I mind. I figure they'll start offering some incentives in the summer to clear out the 2017s before the 2018s start arriving. If they do, it'll be a nice little bonus.

Ordered a TH with 3.2L, Trailer Tow, comfort/convenience, sunroof, Alpine system, and Cold weather.

All the tooling for the Compass and Patriot will need to be removed, and the tooling for the Cherokee needs to be moved in from Toledo.

Personally, I'd be wary of buying one of the first to come out of Belvedere. There will be birthing and teething pains until the workers get on top of their game. Time will tell.

2016 Cherokee Trailhawk: Mango Tango Pearl Coat over Black.
OPTIONS: Every Available Factory Option/Package Except Remote CD Player.
MODS: Whispbars; Mopar Cargo Cover; Mopar Cargo Mat; Mopar/KICKER 9 Speaker Upgrade; KICKER Sub and Amp; Ziebart Undercoating; aFe CAI.
FUTURE MODS: Remote CD Player; Mopar Rock Rails; Rear Fog Lights.

No need to remind me. I work in manufacturing and just helped commission a new facilty. It wasn't pretty.

It was in the back of my mind. However, I figure I'm further down the list. There are probably 2-3 months (Feb - April) of backlogged custom orders ahead of mine, and regular builds to bring up stock. Plenty of time to get used to the Cherokee. .

Fort Wayne has a GM Truck plant. Silverados were coming off the line with Sierra Badges!

2017 model.

In another forum there's a member claiming 2017s will start up again mid-May and will continue until end of August. Probably some truth in that since they're still taking orders.
