High demand for 2014 models?

I have a 2014 Trailhawk (Anvil color, all the add-ons expect for the Tech group). Purchased it new in 2014, with ~500k miles. No issues. Lately I keep getting pretty aggressive notifications from various Jeep dealers in the area, claiming that this model is in high demand, and that they want to purchase it from me. Is that just a ploy to trade it in for a new car?

I have a 2014 as well and have received two similar notifications from dealers in the last few weeks. If I recall correctly, one stated my KL was worth about $14,500 but they were 'authorized' to pay me $4000 over book and offered $18,500

Purely a ploy to get you in the dealership I imagine. I'm sure if I walked in with the notification, they would find some reason (probably detailed in the very fine print) my vehicle was only worth $12,000 in trade....

I still get "your vehicle is in high demand" letters for my Ram 1500 and 2500 that I haven't had for over 5 years. Similar to the 10 million "don't miss this mortgage refinance offer" and "you're pre-approved for $LOTS!!" when we bought our house.

Everything is for sale to marketing people, including major purchase information, vehicle registration, etc.

As @SkipW said, it's entirely to get your body in the door so they can work on selling you something.

Absolutely, I get ads and even got a phone call a couple of month ago like there was someone at the dealer wanting my particular vehicle. It was a "sales gimmick" although there are times when you will receive a better deal and that is usually the last day of the month if a dealership has not made their quota and a couple more vehicles would make it. I also get high demand notices for vehicles I can barely remember I owned in the past.

Back when I was still driving my Nitro, I purchased a MyGig; Dealer take out of a 2012 Town and Country. When I registered it with Sirius, they were convinced that I was driving a 2012 T&C! Now, I get adds and flyers all the time: trade my T&C, buy an extended warranty for it, etc. Weird.

Sounds like good price for yours as long as you received all the discounts on the one your purchased that they give everybody.
