That's what I would think. But on the other hand, if more people want the Latitude and Limited models now, won't that be true later? Not to mention that most buyers would assume that a TH was driven more, umm, roughly?

I agree on the looks of a TH, except for the rear, which was a deal-breaker for me. I don't like to see too much of the muffler, most of which is visible on a TH. Looks cheap.

Yes. Test drove both. Not a world of difference, especially on smooth road, but AD2's off-road suspension is stiffer, harder. AD1 smoother on bumps. It is noticeable in comparison. Of course, AD2 is also tougher. I think the AD2 choice is easy -- if you go off-road, get it or the TH. If not, get AD1. (I see no reason to get any Jeep unless you are going to get at least AD1.)

I agree that AD1 is all you need if you are not planning to go off road. Even if you later want to do some light off-roading, you can simply switch to all-terrain tires and AD1 will take you a lot of places. We took our Mitsu Outlander V-6 off road quite often and all it had was all wheel drive, a 6 speed transmission and
Toyo Open Country tires, much heavier duty than the original all weather tires.

I disagree with Meg376 on the appearance of the Trailhawk rear end. The muffler is exposed slightly because of the need for a better clearance angle off road. That is functional, and 'functional' never detracts from appearance. Take that from a man who has designed some 350 yachts and workboats. TedB

I don't see that as the case, I see most want the TH. Around here TH's stay on the lot very briefly (maybe geographical demand differences), there are a ton of LTDs and Lats sitting around due to manufacturing quotas. Part is supply (THs are not built in the same qty as the rest), part is demand (THs are owned/reserved before they hit the lot many times). I get the general feel most Lat owners want a TH but don't want to pay for it or a LTD at the time, as is the case with my neighbor. Pretty sure a LTD AD2 will be right behind/next to a TH in resale but hard to think a TH won't be at the top, FWD will be tough to move though I think...all speculation/opinion and too early to say.

But I don't think I'll be down for the TH. Also when the 2015 limited and trailhawk with technology group will be coming ?
Based on what you said, ADI seems like more than enough for your needs. As far as TH and Tech groups, they are available now, although the availability will depend on your local supply.

Just did a quick look and a 2014 TH V6 with 6K miles has a resale value to a private party of $27,981. 2014 limited V6 with 6K miles has a resale value to a private party of $28,914.
